Current Role Working With The Athletic Population
I have experience with a wide range of athletes from middle school to the professional level, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, track and field, gymnastics, and weight lifting. No matter what the case - post-operative, acute injuries, nagging aches and pains – I will determine the underlying cause of their injury, assess the current training plan, and make necessary adjustments to allow athletes to keep training safely while rehabilitating the injury to get them back to 100%.
My professional philosophy is that you are in control of your own body. While there are no “quick fixes,” if you are willing to put in the work, and be consistent with the work, you will get where you want to be. I will help you get there by analyzing your movement, providing you with corrective exercises specific to your needs, modifying your training to allow you to maintain fitness while allowing the injured tissue to heal, assessing your training history to determine the underlying cause, and creating a long-term plan for optimal health and fitness to prevent future injury and allow you to reach your potential.
Currently, I train and compete in CrossFit, including strength training, Olympic weight lifting, and metabolic conditioning. In college, I was a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor for the University of Arkansas. I ran multiple half marathons and one full marathon, as well as sprint triathlons. In high school, I played volleyball, and ran track and cross country.
