Current Role Working With The Athletic Population
I have experience with a wide range of athletes from middle school to the professional level, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, track and field, gymnastics, and weight lifting. No matter what the case - post-operative, acute injuries, nagging aches and pains – I will consider strength and/or mobility imbalances, biomechanics, load tolerance, and any other factor that could be contributing to the issue at hand. By assess your current training plan, I make necessary adjustments to allow athletes to keep training safely in the presence of injury while we address the contributing factors.
Professional Philosophy
My professional philosophy is that you are in control of your own body. While there are no "quick fixes," if you are willing to consistently put in the work, you will achieve the desired results. I will help you get there by analyzing your movement, providing you with drills specific to your needs, modifying your training to allow you to maintain fitness while allowing the injured tissue to heal, assessing your training history, and creating a long-term plan for optimal health and fitness to reduce the risk of future injury and allow you to reach your potential.
Athletic Background
Currently, I train and compete in CrossFit, including strength training, Olympic weight lifting, and metabolic conditioning. In college, I was a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor for the University of Arkansas. I ran multiple half marathons and one full marathon, as well as sprint triathlons. In high school, I played volleyball, and ran track and cross country.
