Current Role Working With The Athletic Population
As a clinician, private S&C coach, and private running coach, I see runners and triathletes through the spectrum of rehab to performance. In the clinic I see a mix of general orthopedic and recreational/high school/masters athletes. As a private running coach, I currently work with recreational to internationally-competitive clients.
Professional Philosophy
Communication and trust build the foundation of our therapeutic alliance. In the endurance population, I am heavily biased to promote heavy strength training and plyometrics as the season allows. In the rehab setting, education about load tolerance, maintaining fitness, and training load progressions are heavily emphasized.
Athletic Background
My background is in endurance athletics, primarily running. I am a middle-distance runner and competed regularly from high school through college at the club level. My primary interest now is training for the 800 meter run and mile (indoor and outdoor track), as well as regularly strength training.
Academic Background and Professional Training
I received my DPT at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Prior, I received a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a health and wellness minor at Binghamton University. In 2021 I will be a sports physical therapy resident at University of Rochester Medical Center.
