Current Role Working With The Athletic Population
Currently, working with athletes of all ages from youth to the adult general population or recreational athlete. My first love is working with CrossFitters and Weight Lifters/Power Lifters to teach them how to train smarter to either mitigate potential injury or recover from a pre-exisiting injury.
Professional Philosophy
As the evidence suggests, proper education and exercise are our two most powerful tools when it comes to treating some of the most common orthopedic conditions to date. However, manual therapies, manipulations and dry needling treatments may all be effective in successful management of my patient populations potentially facilitating active movement in the immediate time frame from to allow proper progressions to continue, which is why these are all part of my practice when indicated.
Athletic Background
My fitness journey began as a high school gymnast and wrestler. This is where I got a true understanding of body awareness. It essentially built my foundation as I went to college and began lifting weights and introduced to body building principles. In 2006 I was introduced to CrossFit and renewed my fitness journey. I began to learn how to swim efficiently, run for longer periods of times and progressed into Olympic Weightlifting and Power Lifting style training. Currently, I practice mixed modal energy system training taught through OPEX Fitness.
