OUR STORY
Quinn Henoch led the charge by creating the original Clinical Athlete in 2015, with a mission to connect athletes with professionals who understand their goals and who they can trust, and to educate clinicians, coaches, and students in the realms of athlete health & performance to serve those athletes.
This mission deeply resonated with the industry and grew quickly into one of the most impactful communities and networks of providers who honored the following “code”:

As a ClinicalAthlete Provider,
my core values are
To Be a trustworthy resource for my clients and community at large, and to conduct myself in a way deserving of that trust
01
02
To Prioritize the well-being and self-efficacy of each client
To Understand my client and their world to the fullest extent possible, so that I may guide them toward their individual goals
03
04
To Be a good steward of my client’s time, energy and resources by providing accurate clinical narratives, working against the spread of misinformation, and avoiding unnecessary interventions
To Take ownership for the development of my literacy in rehabilitation and performance research, so I can better inform my words and actions in my clinical and coaching practice
05
06
To Willingly and humbly engage in discussion, with myself and others, to examine my own beliefs, understand differing viewpoints, acquire new information, and improve myself through this process
To Commit to the discipline of my own physical training so that I know what it is to be an athlete, and so I may be disposed to give the most of myself to my clients
07
08
To conduct myself with professionalism and dignity always, and to carry the Clinical Athlete name and reputation with the respect it deserves
Clinical Athlete struck a chord, and impacted the lives of thousands of clinicians, coaches, and students through its platform.
At the end 2017, Zak Gabor and Steph Allen (both existing members of the clinical athlete community), created The Level Up Initiative - a free mentorship program with the mission of “Transforming the People Who Will Transform Healthcare” through focus on cultivating a growth mindset, critical thinking, and communication skills. While these values were embedded in the clinical athlete community, they felt it deserved its own focus to truly create world class clinicians and coaches who could also combat the spread of misinformation and harmful healthcare. It had over 2,000 people go through this program, with life changing impacts.

In 2019, an idea to do a joint educational summit changed everything. We already had a lot of overlap in our community, and felt that together, a comprehensive event focusing on excellence with: exercise, critical thinking, and communication would make for a hell of an experience. And we were right. Despite a complete pivot from in person to remote (Covid era), we pulled off an incredible online summit and the rest is history. We knew that we were both better off joining forces to create the ultimate platform to prepare clinicians, coaches, and students to provide world class care focusing on excellence with Critical Thinking, ExRx, and Communication.
In 2020, CALU was born - Clever, we know. Truth is, creating a new brand name felt forced. The TLDR is that it was a challenge to merge our resources, products, and it was confusing to our audience about what CALU even was.
In 2023, We finally hit traction with bringing clarity to what we were doing and launched our signature exercise prescription program embedded in our private community platform. A program that packaged all of the values of our community through this world-class curriculum led by industry expert Quinn Henoch. The feedback was amazing, but we felt like CALU was still too confusing and limiting our impact. Over the last year, we agreed that we needed one final “re-brand” and decided that bringing back an updated clinical athlete was the right decision. So here we are, coming full circle almost a decade later with clarity, an incredible product, an incredible community, and a hunger to keep making a true impact in the healthcare and performance industries. We can’t wait to connect with you!
My mission is to help develop the types of providers that are considered the absolute standard in the field.
After co-founding ClinicalAthlete in 2015, my mission has been to help develop the types of providers that are considered the absolute standard in the field. I do my best to uphold that standard myself, working with athletes and helping them return from injury and maximize performance. I also try to maintain my own status as a mediocre athlete in various ways. Beyond that, I love learning new skills and showing up to parties late and leaving early!
My mission is to disrupt the harmful and mediocre status quo of healthcare by investing in the next generation of rehab professionals and showing them a better way.
I currently live in Rochester, NY, and my week to week is combination of co-running Clinical Athlete, as well as my own personal remote rehab business, Long Game Health & Performance. I have a special clinical interest in persistant pain, communication, and psychologically informed practice. When not working, I love spending my time with my wife Steph, my dog Penny and lifting, playing tennis, cooking, reading fiction, and getting outside!
My mission is to serve as a role model and guide for our current and future clinicians and coaches so that, together, we can raise the standard of care the world receives and keep more people doing what they love to do.
I am currently living in Western NY, where I run a fully remote coaching business for active individuals who have sustained an ACL or other knee injury. I love what I do, but when I am not working, you can find me running, lifting at the gym, going for walks with our dog Penny, or hanging out with our extended family!

On a mission to make healthcare healthier through (and with) the people that care.
As a Co-Founder of The HoneyBadger Project and Clinical Athlete, my work is focused on helping clinicians cultivate their skillset and then deploy it in a way that creates leveraged impact for themselves and their communities. I'm truthfully addicted to my work, but my wife and baby daughter are what keep me whole. I like being social, but dislike small talk. I live in New Jersey, but love traveling outside of New Jersey.
My mission is to elevate care for the injured runner from diagnosis through return to performance. I'm here to encourage sound clinical reasoning, dispel false narratives and improve injury management in the running space.
I live in Tempe, Arizona and run my own physical therapy & coaching business, Volante PT & Performance. I offer physical therapy, virtual rehabilitation and run coaching, specializing in bone stress injuries & athletes with a history of eating disorder. Outside of rehab-related activities, I love to travel and take my dog Piper on adventures.

I am currently based out of Bend, OR and hold multiple rehab & performance roles outside of Clinical Athlete (VALD Performance, Citizen Athletics and Inform Performance). Outside of work, I love to train, play music and spend time with my partner and our pup.
My mission is to help inspire your personal and professional growth as a rehab provider so that you can have a positive impact on your community, inspiring others through their journeys as well.
I currently live in Encinitas, CA and practice at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in the area. During my free time, you can find me spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, and enjoying all the outdoor activities that San Diego has to offer!

My mission is to change barbell sports by enhancing the professional that works with them through education, mentorship, and example. These athletes deserve better and we will provide that.
I'm now in a little town in North Carolina called Oxford and am the Owner/Operator of Rebuild Stronger along with Jared who is my business partner. On top of that, I'm the Client Success Director at the HoneyBadger Project helping clinicians launch their own businesses. When I'm not working I'm hanging with my two young daughters, trying to figure out the sport of cheerleading that both of them love, and lifting as heavy a weight as humanly possible as a competitive powerlifter.
My mission is to help clinicians and coaches become the "go-to person" for powerlifters dealing with injury or looking for higher levels of performance
I'm a physio, coach, business owner and powerlifting competitor living near Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Strength saved my life from a deadly disease so I'm on a mission to make more people strong. I love Star Wars, coffee, nerding out about music and keeping up with my 3 daughters
My mission is to continually upskill, both as an athlete and as a coach/communicator, in order to live and help others live a strong, healthy, and meaningful life. I help Clinical Athlete by using my communication skills to craft messages that reach and resonate with the right audiences. In other words, I’m playing cupid - matching clinicians & coaches with Clinical Athlete, helping more people live life to the fullest!
My concept of "home" is ever-evolving, having grown up in many different countries. Now, I happily call Australia home and live in Sydney with my partner Jarrod. Outside of Clinical Athlete, I'm a personal trainer and strength coach. When I'm not at the gym, you'll find me rock climbing or surfing, embracing the thrill of the outdoors!
