COURSE INSTRUCTORS
Quinn Henoch
Quinn Henoch is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, working primarily with barbell sport athletes. Having competed primarily in the sport of weightlifting himself since 2010 and also in Powerlifting and CrossFit, Quinn understands the grind. He helps these athletes recover from injury and get back to setting PRs.
John Flagg
John Flagg is the Lead Instructor of the ClinicalAthlete Powerlifting Certification (CPC) and brings a wealth of experience to his role. A seasoned competitive powerlifter, John has totalled over 2000lbs in competition on multiple occasions throughout his career. In addition to his accomplishments on the platform, he is a practicing Athletic Trainer and a respected Powerlifting Coach across multiple federations.
John and Jared runs their own online training business, ‘Rebuild Stronger,’ where they specializes in coaching injured strength athletes back to competition readiness and beyond having helped build multiple National Champions and IPF medalist. John’s extensive experience and dedication make him uniquely qualified to lead the CPC Course, ensuring that participants receive top-tier education from someone who not only understands the theory but exemplifies it in practice.
Jared Maynard
Jared Maynard, PT, MScPT, HBSc Kin is a Physiotherapist on a mission to make lifters strong AF. He believes that strength has the power to change and save lives, just like it did for him in 2023.
After completing both degrees and starting clinical practice, he was disillusioned with the quality of care and information for injured lifters. He set out on a journey to learn from other professionals in the strength and rehab worlds dedicated to making the world a stronger place. That journey led to working directly with Dr. Quinn Henoch and joining the ClinicalAthlete team in 2016.
Jared's been under the barbell for 16 years and powerlifting for 10. He's guided barbell athletes in both rehabbing injuries and elevating performance. He's coached the gamut of powerlifters, from total beginners to World championship competitors. Together with John Flagg, their coaching business, Rebuild Stronger, has produced multiple national, world and regional champions with a trail of hardware and countless PR's in their wake.
Helping lifters get stronger is also deeply personal for Jared. In 2023 he was diagnosed with HLH, a rare and deadly disease which almost killed him. After being on life support for 5 weeks and losing 40 pounds of muscle, Jared began rebuilding himself. He went from learning how to walk, talk, eat and breathe on his own to putting up lifetime PR's on the platform just over 1 year later. His doctors told him that without being as strong as he was, he wouldn't be here. Now his mission is to pay that chance forward to every lifter he works with.
Jared has been fully immersed in the sport of powerlifting for a decade. He has commentated at local and professional powerlifting meets, appeared as a guest on popular lifting podcasts and taught the CPC with John Flagg, both online and in person.
He believes that life is short so you may as well spend it being strong. He's so stoked to see you at this epic event!

Meghan Helwig, attendee“Thank you for an amazing weekend! Already implementing what I learned this weekend into my practice! Great course with a great instructor!”
Jeremy Lau,attendee“Clinical Athlete offers a refreshing perspective on the barbell sports and movement in general. For many gym-goers and fitness/health professionals, these lifts are among the most difficult exercises to master and to teach. This course not only breaks the lifts down in a logical and easy-to-understand manner, but teaches corrective strategies to master these movements based on sound clinical principles”
Clinton Lee,attendee“We covered a huge amount of rehab-related lifting content over the two days, much of which has tremendous practical application to barbell athletes dealing with pain or performance barriers in their training.”
